About Watershed Protection
Originally called the Drainage Utility, the Watershed Protection Department was established in 1991 to manage the City’s creeks, drainage systems and water quality programs. Our focus is reducing the impact of flooding, erosion and water pollution. We have a multi-tiered approach including: A wide variety of programs to maintain infrastructure, protect against erosion and flooding, and fight against pollution Construction projects, both large-scale Capital Improvement Projects and smaller in-house projects, to fix existing problems.
