Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 2 years of cath lab experience and a LA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an acute care Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- Two labs performing approximately 100 procedures per month
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
- 16 on-call days every 6 weeks, including 2 weekends
- Procedures include pre and post care, radial access, scrubbing for hearts, pacemaker and ICD implants
- Cannon system and MEDITECH - MAGIC 5.66 EMR are used, EPIC experience required
- Patients include those with cardiac and peripheral vascular needs
- Must be experienced with both cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures
- Participation in an on-call rotation that includes evenings and weekends is required
- A 75-mile radius rule applies for eligibility
- Scrub experience is required for this role
Requirements
- Active LA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a cardiac cath lab
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required
- Experience with pre and post care, radial access, and scrubbing for heart cases
- Experience with pacemaker and ICD implants
- EPIC charting experience required
