Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and hospitable Server to join our team. You will guide guests through our traditional Tex-Mex menu, recommend signature margaritas, and deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, possesses a passion for Mexican cuisine, and can communicate effectively with a diverse range of guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Ambassadorship: Explain  =dishes, ingredients, spice levels, and potential allergens to guests.
  • Upselling: Proactively recommend appetizers (like guacamole, queso), specialty cocktails, premium tequilas, and desserts (like churros or flan).
  • Order Accuracy: Take detailed food and beverage orders, noting specific customizations, and input them accurately into the POS system.
  • Food & Drink Delivery: Deliver hot dishes and fresh drinks promptly, ensuring proper garnishes (like lime, cilantro, or salt rims) are intact.
  • Table Maintenance: Maintain a clean dining space by clearing empty chip baskets, salsa bowls, and plates while continuously refilling waters and aguas frescas.
  • Payment Processing: Handle cash, credit card, and digital transactions accurately, ensuring correct split checks for large parties.
  • Teamwork & Sidework: Prep salsa stations, restock chip warmers, roll silverware, and assist teammates during peak rushes.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum age of 18 required by local law to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for an entire 8-hour shift.
  • Exceptional multitasking skills to handle multiple tables simultaneously during busy dinner rushes.
  • Strong communication skills and a warm, welcoming personality.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred to effectively communicate with guests and kitchen staff.
  • 1+ years of experience serving in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican cuisine, tequila profiles, and popular mezcals.
  • Current Food Handler and Alcohol Server certifications (e.g., ServSafe).
