Senior Inspector

The LiRo Group is seeking a Senior Inspector to join our Inspection, Certification & Quality Control department within our construction group. In this role, you will oversee field inspections on infrastructure projects, verify compliance with plans, codes, and safety standards, and prepare detailed inspection reports. You will coordinate with project managers, contractors, and designers to resolve issues and maintain quality. Responsibilities

• Perform and lead field inspections of civil, structural, and infrastructure construction activities for compliance with plans, specifications, and codes
• Review contract documents, drawings, and shop drawings to plan daily inspection activities and verify constructability and requirements
• Document daily construction activities, inspection findings, test results, and nonconformance issues in detailed written and photographic reports
• Coordinate, mentor, and review the work of junior inspectors, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and documentation standards
• Witness and perform field and laboratory tests on construction materials, including concrete, asphalt, soils, and aggregates, and verify compliance with applicable standards
• Identify quality or safety issues, communicate them promptly to contractors and project managers, and assist in developing corrective action plans
• Participate in construction progress and coordination meetings, representing The Li
• Ro Group and providing inspection-related input to stakeholders
• Support project close-out by preparing punch lists, verifying completion of corrective work, and assisting with final certifications and documentation

Required Skills

• Construction inspection for civil and infrastructure projects
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of building codes, transportation and infrastructure standards, and agency requirements
• Construction materials testing (concrete, asphalt, soils, aggregates)
• Field documentation and report writing (daily reports, logs, punch lists)
• Quality control and quality assurance practices
• Site safety awareness and application of OSHA construction safety principles
• Use of inspection and reporting software and basic office productivity tools
• Communication and coordination with contractors, engineers, and client representatives
• Leadership and mentoring of junior inspection staff
