Job Description

Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Auto Technician for our 2nd shift to support our industry leading automotive services. In this role, you'll perform advanced diagnostics, complex mechanical and electrical repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of vehicles used across our remarketing and fleet operations. You'll leverage modern diagnostic tools, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and help keep vehicles customer ready. Working in a collaborative, people first culture, you'll mentor junior techs, grow your skills with ongoing training, and contribute to innovation shaping the future of automotive retail and mobility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostics and complex mechanical and electrical repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections to support fleet and remarketing operations.
  • Use OEM-level and aftermarket diagnostic tools to identify and resolve drivability and electrical issues.
  • Document all work performed in service systems with accurate notes, parts usage, and labor times.
  • Collaborate with service advisors, supervisors, and teammates to prioritize work and meet turnaround targets.
  • Maintain shop tools, equipment, and work areas in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Mentor junior technicians, sharing best practices and supporting training and development.
  • Follow Cox Automotive quality standards and procedures to ensure reliable, customer-ready vehicles.
