Otolaryngology Job Details
  • Employment Type: Locum tenens physician (travel contract)

  • Schedule: 40 hours per week; 5 shifts/week, 8-hour days
  • Call Coverage: Options for 24-hour at-home call (7am 7am) or night call only (5pm 7am); provider is at home and comes in when called
  • Patient Population: Adult and pediatric ENT cases
  • EMR System: Meditech
Otolaryngologist Qualifications
  • Active New York medical license
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology (ENT Physician)
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Otolaryngology/ENT
  • Skilled in managing both adult and pediatric ENT cases
  • Proficient in emergent ENT procedures
  • Fellowship training not required
  • Temporary privileges available for expedited onboarding
ENT Physician Responsibilities
  • Provide consults for in-house patients, including floors and ED post-op follow-ups
  • Respond to call-backs and provide scheduled coverage
  • Perform a full range of ENT procedures, including:
    • Epistaxis control
    • Abscess drainage
    • Facial trauma repair
    • Tonsillectomy/Adenoidectomy
    • Tracheostomy
    • Sinus surgery
    • Head & Neck procedures
  • Take patients to the OR for emergent ENT cases
  • Collaborate with hospital staff, including anesthesia (available 24/7) and surgical PA support overnight
  • Schedule OR cases as needed (shared responsibility with hospital)
  • Participate in ED consults as required
