Job Opportunity: Locum - Physician - General Medicine in Houston, AR

Join a dedicated team providing essential services to our nation's Veterans. We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This role offers flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the community of Houston.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
  • Conduct primarily interview-based exams with limited physical assessments, such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
  • Complete necessary administrative work, including addendums and medical opinions, during appointed hours.
  • Option to work half days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours), depending on availability.
  • Utilize your own office and facilities for conducting exams.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or a related field.
  • Proficient in METs testing and evaluation of respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
  • Experience in compensation and pension evaluations is a plus.
  • Must own a laptop (non-Mac).
  • Willingness to complete DMA training to gain certification.
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Active and unrestricted full medical license in Arkansas.
  • AANP certification is required.
