Hotel Housekeeping Attendant

Overview

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining exceptionally clean, safe, and comfortable guest rooms and public areas in an extended‑stay environment. This role focuses on detailed room refreshes, and ensuring guests feel at home throughout longer stays. The attendant works closely with the Housekeeping Executive and Front Office to meet brand standards and guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms according to standards, includes bathrooms, living areas, and sleeping spaces.
• Complete daily light‑touch services as required (trash removal, towel exchange, surface wipe‑downs).
• Maintain cleanliness of back‑of‑house spaces.
• Restock housekeeping carts, storage closets, and guest supplies.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection‑control procedures.
• Ensure guest belongings are respected and handled appropriately during extended stays.
• Support team members and communicate effectively with the Housekeeping Executive and Front Desk.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in hotels or residential cleaning strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Friendly, professional demeanor with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to follow cleaning protocols and safety procedures.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (linens, cleaning supplies, equipment).
