Company: Solar United Neighbors
Job Title: Go Solar Program Specialist (Remote from anywhere in the US)
Job Category: NON PROFIT
Job description:
PLEASE INCLUDE A RESUME AND COVER LETTER WITH YOUR APPLICATION BY 9/13/24

Our energy system is on the brink of a major transformation, and we’re looking for someone to help us ensure this new system puts rooftop solar energy at the cornerstone!

About Us
Solar United Neighbors (SUN) is a national 501(c)3 nonprofit that started more than 15 years ago with a simple question: "Mom, can we go solar?" Since then, we've helped tens of thousands of people benefit from solar energy. We are dedicated to creating a clean, equitable, resilient energy system that benefits everyone — by helping people go solar, join together, and fight for their energy rights.

About the Position
The Go Solar Program Specialist will join a team of Program Coordinators and Specialists in supporting state program field staff in their day-to-day implementation of solar co-ops. This includes tracking co-op members in Salesforce, answering co-op member inquiries, maintaining content on program websites, and drafting materials for use by field and communications staff. The Program Specialist will also work on Solar Help Desk cases to assist individual homeowners in going solar outside of our solar co-ops. This position will report to the Director of Go Solar Programs.

Job responsibilities include:
• Conducting solar roof reviews of potential co-op members.
• Creating and updating webpages through WordPress.
• Drafting documents and educational materials including requests for proposals (RFPs), update emails, informational documents, presentations, and blog posts.
• Providing solar technical assistance by responding to inquiries, questions, and concerns of co-op participants and solar Help Desk users.
• Managing and maintaining co-op member records in Salesforce.
• Providing special solar savings economic analysis in support of state and national programming.
• Working with the broader organization (Communications team, Development team, Executive team) to optimize the promotion and growth of solar co-ops.
• Identifying and implementing strategic improvements to solar co-op processes and materials.
• Working with broader organizational staff to roll out these improvements across all teams.
• Brainstorming special initiatives, content development, training, and educational work to improve our work at SUN.
