Lyft is hiring Drivers in Austin within our Transportation & Logistics team. As a Driver, you'll provide safe, friendly, and reliable rides through the Lyft app, helping riders move around the city efficiently. You'll use your own eligible vehicle, follow local traffic laws, and deliver excellent customer service on every trip. Responsibilities

  • Use the Lyft driver app to accept, start, and complete ride requests in Austin and surrounding areas
  • Safely transport passengers to their destinations while following all traffic laws and local regulations
  • Provide friendly, professional, and inclusive customer service to riders from diverse backgrounds
  • Use GPS/navigation tools and local knowledge to choose efficient routes and adjust for traffic or road conditions
  • Maintain a clean, comfortable, and presentable vehicle interior and exterior
  • Perform basic vehicle condition checks, such as fuel level, lights, and tire appearance, before and during shifts
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with riders through the app and in person about pickup points and trip details
  • Follow Lyft's safety, anti-harassment, and zero-tolerance policies at all times
  • Manage your own schedule within Lyft's platform while meeting reliability and performance expectations
  • Accurately manage in-app workflows for rides, earnings, and tips according to Lyft guidelines
