Job Title: Development Operations Associate

Job description:  
This position is currently 100% remote. After COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted, the Development Operations Administrator role may be a hybrid role, working remotely some days per week and in one of Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts ("GSEMA") designated offices other days of the week. GSEMA offices are located in Andover, Waltham, and Middleboro, MA. May also involve work activities on properties, designated sites/events, and community locations as needed.

Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts is seeking qualified candidates for the full-time position of Development Operations Administrator. This is a new hybrid-based role that reports to the Associate Director of Development. The Development Operations Administrator focuses heavily on database management and analysis, requiring proficiency in gift entry, donor acknowledegments, receipts, reports, and tracking constituent information.

Key competencies include attention to detail, an aptitude for systems, problem-solving skills, and a team-oriented mindset. A high degree of efficiency and organization are required for the success in this position. In addition, the Development Operations Administrator should be a forward-thinker, effectively implementing strategies and processes that will contribute to the overall success of the Fund Development team. General development experience is required, as is an interest in multiple aspects of fundraising, including data management, donor relations, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain technical knowledge and expertise in Raiser’s Edge/NXT software, including training other staff as needed to ensure redundancy of database skills across the department.
- Manage gift processing, tracking, and acknowledgment (individual and institutional), including timely entry of all gifts into donor database.
- Track and report on contributions and pledge payments, including elevating stewardship tasks to appropriate Fund Development team member.
- Coordinate with Finance to ensure reconciliation of gift information; produce updated financial, gift, and fundraising management reports, including weekly metrics.
- Work with Fund Development management team to support stewardship and cultivation activities, including data insights, research, communications, and reports.
- Manage departmental operations, including meetings, payment vouchers, office supplies, subscriptions, and in-house printing needs.

Skills and Qualifications:

- 2+ years of development experience.
- Experience with Raiser’s Edge; aptitude for utilizing information technology, including fundraising databases and CRMs.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including mail merges and Excel.
- Bilingual skill is a plus.
- Capacity to, independently and as part of a team, plan, organize and prioritize work, while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing, within the organization, and with donors.
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential matters and information.
- Ability to participate in cross-departmental projects, using tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and as a part of a team, taking on independent tasks and supporting team projects.

Work Environment: This is a hybrid work arrangement with a combination of work from home (2 or 3 days) and at one of the designated GSEMA offices located in Andover, Middleboro or Waltham other workdays. May also involve work activities on properties, designated sites/events, and community locations as needed.

Physical requirements may include:

- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prolonged periods of sitting while working on a computer.

Travel Requirements: Must have access to reliable transportation to travel to GSEMA offices/service centers and across the Council footprint as needed.
