Job Description

SAAB seeks a Corporate Tax Manager to lead tax compliance and planning for its U.S. manufacturing operations. In this role you will manage federal, state, and local income tax returns, oversee ASC 740 tax provisions, and support international and transfer pricing initiatives. You will analyze complex transactions, identify tax optimization opportunities, and manage audits and inquiries. Partnering with finance, legal, and operations, you will ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and adherence to global and local regulations while supporting strategic growth in a high-tech, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead preparation and review of federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns for U.
  • S. entities.
  • Own the ASC 740 tax provision process, including calculations, documentation, and reporting.
  • Develop and execute tax planning strategies to optimize effective tax rate and cash tax outcomes.
  • Support international tax and transfer pricing initiatives impacting U.
  • S. manufacturing operations.
  • Manage tax audits, examinations, and inquiries from tax authorities, ensuring timely responses.
  • Conduct technical tax research and prepare clear memoranda and policy documentation.
  • Partner with finance, legal, and operations to assess tax impacts of business initiatives and contracts.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with global and local tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with global tax colleagues to align policies, processes, and reporting standards.
  • Leverage ERP and tax software to improve tax data quality, reporting efficiency, and analytics.
