Cast Member

City Year seeks AmeriCorps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support and small-group tutoring in core subjects
• Mentor students to strengthen attendance, behavior, and academic engagement
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and behavior management
• Support and help lead after-school programs and enrichment activities
• Track and report student progress using established tools and systems
• Collaborate with a diverse Ameri
• Corps team and school staff on student support plans
• Foster an inclusive, positive school climate aligned with City Year values
• Participate in ongoing training, reflection, and professional development sessions
• Engage families and community partners when appropriate to support student success
• Model leadership, service, and a commitment to educational equity
