Cast Member

City Year seeks AmeriCorps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. Responsibilities

• Provide in-class and small-group academic support in core subjects
• Mentor students to build social-emotional skills and positive behaviors
• Collaborate with teachers to identify students' needs and track progress
• Support attendance initiatives and family or community engagement activities
• Plan and lead after-school or enrichment programs and events
• Collect and report data on student interventions and outcomes
• Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development
• Model inclusive, culturally responsive, and equity-focused practices
• Contribute to a positive team culture and school climate
• Assist with school-wide projects, events, and service days
