Cast Member

City Year seeks AmeriCorps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support, tutoring, and small-group instruction to students
• Mentor students to build positive relationships and support social-emotional growth
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to monitor and improve student progress
• Support implementation of classroom routines and positive behavior systems
• Assist with school-wide events, attendance initiatives, and family engagement activities
• Use data and observation to adjust student support strategies
• Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development
• Serve as a positive role model aligned with City Year's values and culture
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions and outcomes
• Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team environment focused on service
