Cast Member

City Year seeks AmeriCorps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and one-on-one academic tutoring to students during and after school
• Support teachers with classroom instruction and create positive, engaging learning environments
• Mentor students to build social-emotional skills, confidence, and school engagement
• Monitor and track student attendance, behavior, and academic progress
• Assist with behavior management and de-escalation under teacher guidance
• Plan and support after-school programs, enrichment activities, and events
• Collaborate with a diverse Ameri
• Corps team and school staff to meet student needs
• Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development sessions
• Engage families and community partners to support student success
• Uphold City Year's values around equity, inclusion, and social justice in daily service
