Cast Member

City Year seeks AmeriCorps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group academic support in core subjects during and after school
• Build positive, mentoring relationships that foster students' social-emotional growth
• Support teachers in the classroom with behavior management, engagement, and lesson activities
• Track and report student progress, attendance, and engagement using established tools
• Assist with planning and leading school-wide events, initiatives, and after-school programs
• Collaborate with a diverse team of Ameri
• Corps members and school staff to meet service goals
• Participate in ongoing training, reflection, and leadership development sessions
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and stakeholders about progress and challenges
• Model professionalism, equity, and inclusion in all school interactions
• Fulfill all Ameri
• Corps and City Year service, documentation, and compliance requirements
