Cast Member

City Year seeks AmeriCorps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. Responsibilities

• Provide in-class academic support to students in partnership with teachers
• Tutor students in small groups or one-on-one to reinforce key concepts
• Monitor and track student attendance, engagement, and progress
• Support classroom routines, school culture, and behavior expectations
• Help plan and lead after-school programs and enrichment activities
• Communicate regularly with school staff about student needs and progress
• Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development
• Engage families and community partners as appropriate to support students
