Cast Member

City Year seeks AmeriCorps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support and small-group tutoring in key subjects such as math and English
• Build positive, consistent relationships with students as a mentor and role model
• Support students' social-emotional growth through check-ins, goal setting, and encouragement
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to identify and address student needs
• Lead or assist with school-wide initiatives, assemblies, and after-school programs
• Track student progress and document service activities and outcomes
• Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development sessions
• Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team environment focused on student success
• Engage families and community partners in supporting student growth when appropriate
