Job Description

We are seeking skilled, energetic, and hospitable Bartenders to join our team. You will be the face of our bar, crafting traditional and modern Mexican cocktails, managing a tequila and mezcal selections, and delivering exceptional service to both bar patrons and dining room guests. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses deep knowledge of Mexican spirits, and creates a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cocktail Mixology: Prepare and serve high-quality beverages, including signature margaritas, craft cocktails, Micheladas, and traditional Mexican drinks.
  • Spirit Ambassadorship: Educate guests on our selection of tequilas, mezcals, and Mexican beers, providing tasting notes and pairing recommendations
  • Bar Service & Hospitality: Greet bar guests promptly, take food and drink orders, serve meals at the bar, and maintain an engaging, friendly demeanor.
  • Service Bar Efficiency: Quickly and accurately prepare drink orders placed by floor servers for the dining room during high-volume rushes.
  • Inventory & Prep: Maintain a fully stocked bar by prepping fresh juices, fruit garnishes (limes, jalapeños), agave syrups, and specialized glass rims (tajín, salts).
  • Cash Management: Accurately operate the POS system, process payments, split checks, and manage the bar cash drawer.
  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age and practice responsible alcohol service (monitoring guest intoxication levels).
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a spotless, organized, and sanitary bar area, including counters, glassware, taps, and ice bins, according to health codes.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Legal age of 21+ to mix and serve alcoholic beverages required by local law.
  • 1–2 years of experience bartending in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
  • Expert knowledge of cocktail recipes, pouring techniques, and bar equipment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy kegs or ice boxes (up to 40 lbs), and multitask under pressure.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele and kitchen staff.
  • Knowledge of tequila classifications (Blanco, Reposado, Añejo) and artisanal mezcals.
  • Current Alcohol Server certification (e.g., ServSafe Alcohol, TIPS)
  • Familiarity with restaurant Toast POS software
