POSITION DETAILS

-Working closely with Workforce Development and Continuing Education and the Kingsborough’s Bridges to Opportunity Networks (KBON)
- Recruit prospective students (and families) by representing Kingsborough Community College at both on and off-campus recruitment events (high school fairs, transfer fairs, Community Based Organizations (CBOs), community events, etc.).

-Ability to present workshops and conduct Q&A’s to students and parents in dual languages including Spanish

- Maintain a working knowledge of all Kingsborough Community College programs and opportunities and be able to relay this information to prospective students and families in a friendly and coherent manner.

- Utilize Connect (CRM) to identify, track and conduct outreach to support prospective/admitted students throughout the recruitment funnel.

- Conduct virtual and in-person information sessions and serves as Admissions Counselor for prospective students and families visiting the Admissions Information Center (in-person and virtually).

- Assist with planning and execution of on-campus recruitment and conversion events.

This position is fully on-sight.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrate communication skills, writing and public speaking ability

-Multi-lingual Spanish Required

-Valid Drivers license required

- Exemplary customer service skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.)

- The aptitude for learning new systems and adapting to new technology quickly is highly desirable.

- Cultural competency and experience providing services to a diverse student body in a higher education setting.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills, and ability to multitask.

- Ability to work independently, take the initiative, and be a proactive member of the admissions team.

-Ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed.

CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW


Coordinates efforts of admissions and/or enrollment offices.

- Coordinates workshops, intake screenings, interviews and orientations for new students

- Counsels prospective applicants on requirements and standards and provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, e-mail or letter; conducts follow up as needed

- Assists in conducting open house sessions and orientations, including group sessions and programs at high schools and in the community at large

- Assists with day-to-day administration and an admissions or enrollment office, including scheduling and preparing and distributing materials

- Represents the Admission Office to the college's internal and external communities as directed

- Maintains and updates program databases, lists and files to ensure completeness and accuracy

- Performs related duties as assigned.
