BILINGUAL TREATMENT SPECIALIST
Duties:
-Group facilitation in the areas of sex offender education/treatment.
-Review referrals, conduct assessments and intakes, monitor and evaluate client participation.
-Monitor as necessary referrals to other community agencies.
-Maintain appropriate documentation required in relation to group/client services.
-Maintain and update client files, write weekly progress notes and discharge summaries.
-Maintain regular communication with agents and co-workers.
-Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
-Responsible for a caseload of adult correctional clients who participate in the Sex Offender Treatment program.
-Involvement with clients on an individual basis and in group settings, serving as facilitator and lead counselor for the program.

Skills:
|
|
-Master’s Degree and licensure as a Social Worker,
-Professional Counselor, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, or Psychiatric Nurse with at least one year experience in the field of sex offender treatment.
-Bachelor’s Degree with significant experience will be considered.
-Experience working in corrections required, residential or treatment center experience preferred.
-Ability to work wit clients of diverse backgrounds.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Bilingual: Spanish-English required
Experience must include at least one year:
-Conducting sex offender assessments/evaluations including risk assessments using current instruments and methodologies.
-Providing individual and group sex offender treatment
-Working with involuntary clients
-Working with offender populations
-Working with culturally diverse client populations
-Providing cognitive/behavioral-based programming.
-Providing relapse prevention programming.
Case Management including treatment planning, general knowledge of social services.
-Facilitator must be bilingual for Spanish speaking groups. |
