We are seeking full time experienced Tree Climbers to start immediately to work in the Staunton, VA District. Pay based on proven experience
Qualifications: Must have experience with proper pruning practices including large shade trees and ornamentals. Able to identify native and introduced trees and shrubs species and have a working knowledge of each species' characteristics. Must be an expert in safe chain saw/equipment operation. Must be able to climb with and without spurs. Understanding punctuality.
Responsibilities: Work as a leader and member of a general tree care crew providing high-quality tree care. Perform specialized pruning and removals, install cabling and bracing using knowledge of compartmentalization and other concepts related to tree wounding/pruning. Safely operate equipment including chainsaws, chippers, hand-tools. Provide excellent customer service.
Benefits:
-Lodging will be provided during the week if you are from out of town as well as per diem at a rate of $37/day.
-Vacation accrued after 6 months tenure

The Position:
-Full time
-Overtime will be frequent and paid at time and a half
-Weekly pay
-Bonuses are offered for above level performance
-Hourly pay is dependent on your level of tree experience
Required:
⁃Valid driver’s license and your own reliable vehicle
⁃Previous tree work experience
-Hard hat and safety goggles at minimum (additional PPE is advised)
Preferred but not required:
⁃Certifications: CPR, flagger, basic or intermediate safety certification
-CDL: class A or B
-Chainsaw skills are a distinct advantage

Requisitos:
⁃ Licencia de conducir válida y su propio vehículo en buenas condiciones
⁃ Experiencia previa de trabajo en el área forestal
-Gorro duro y gafas de seguridad como mínimo (se recomienda EPP adicional)
De preferencia:
⁃Certificaciones: RCP, señalización, certificación de seguridad básica o intermedia
-Licencia de conducir: clase A o B
-Manejo de sierra de cadena es una ventaja
