GENERAL SUMMARY
The Manager, Registrar Technical Operations will perform functional security administrator duties in accordance with FERPA and the university policies and procedures, serve as the expert for registration-related software products, oversee the preparation and submission of highly technical federal and state reports, and act as a resource for data reporting and the student sections of the University ERP.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform functional security administrator duties by analyzing and processing requests for access to student data in accordance with FERPA and University policies and procedures.
Serve as functional expert for registration-related software products utilized by the university, including room scheduling and instructional staff payroll processes.
Oversee the preparation and submission of highly technical and complex federal and state reports. Ensure any programming changes are completed in advance of implementation deadlines. Ensure error resolution is completed accurately and timely. Consult with other university constituents as needed.
Respond to inquiries regarding enrollment and degree verification.
Coordinate with other offices on campus to ensure student data is accurate and oversee corrections, as needed.
Serve as functional expert for student data reporting, both for the office and the university.
Oversee processing of applicable data loads to student information system and ensure problem resolution is completed in timely and accurate manner.
Understand and participate in cross-training on core functions in department and serve as back-up.
Function as technical resource for staff members. Contribute primarily through applying individual expertise.
Evaluate operational and business process systems and recommend changes.
Serve as liaison with other departments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree is required.
Five years of experience in a higher education student records/registration office is required.
Effective organizational and written and oral communication skills are required.
Demonstrated ability to serve collaboratively as a team leader in planning and directing employees and processes to effectively implement quality improvement initiatives is required.
Proven ability to manage a variety of tasks and work independently under pressure and with minimal supervision is required.
Knowledge of Ellucian's banner ERP system is preferred.
