Job description:  
The Director of Human Resources accepts the chief responsibility for creating and implementing the strategic vision for Human Resource services, programs and policies; for leading operational management of the Human Resources Department and serve as Title IX Coordinator.

• Directs the management of the Human Resources Department and Wellness Office to ensure that programs and services are effective and consistent with the needs and values of the university. Provides guidance to Human Resources and Wellness staff and provides opportunities for their professional development.
• Serves as a resource to the University leadership team, and to campus leaders to ensure best practices for human resource operations, employee accountability, and regulatory compliance.
• Leads and directs the employee sponsored benefits program.
• Establishes goals and strategic plans, monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness for continual improvement and leads the development of appropriate policies and procedures.
• Works with University leadership to define diversity goals and implements strategies for success.
• Provides opportunities for training and leadership for supervisors and employees.
• Works to ensure a culture of serving the employees and supervisors.
• As the University Title IX Coordinator, provides oversight to faculty and staff training to prevent sexual harassment and oversight of investigations related to complaints and grievances.


QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. Progressively responsible work experience in higher education may substitute for master’s degree requirement
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
• Ability to interpret and advise on the application of EEO laws and regulations
• Experience with design, implementation and evaluation of employer-sponsored benefit programs
• Strategic leadership skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent writing and analytical skills


COMPENSATION:
The salary for this position is competitive, commensurate with experience and qualifications. A liberal benefits package is provided which includes a generous tuition program.
