Candidate Profile
Latino Network seeks a mission-driven development professional with proven nonprofit experience to lead a full range of fundraising and communications activities for a growing organization focused on the success of the Latino community. As part of a dedicated team working toward a shared vision, the Director of Development and Communications is charged with creating an achievable plan of action and implementing innovative strategies that open the door to a diversified base of support. This is a roll up your sleeves position with the capacity to propel Latino Network to the next level by building a community of sustainable partners and donors. Skills:  
• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years fundraising experience
• Mission-driven, focused on creating the highest level of positive impact for students served by the program
• Thorough knowledge of non-profit organization operations, including demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage organizational systems and processes
• Team player with a collaborative spirit who can work effectively with peers and other staff members within a friendly, collaborative, and fast-paced work environment
• Successful track record in developing, executing, and meeting fundraising goals
• Experience with personal solicitations, including individuals, corporations and foundations
• Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated contributor relationships over time
• Previous work experience establishing and managing relationships, partnerships, and supervision of staff
• Demonstrates awareness, attitudes knowledge, and skills that foster a climate of equity and inclusion
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong project management and attention to detail
• Technology skills: experience, knowledge and proficiency with fundraising databases as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Spanish speaking and familiarity with Latino culture strongly encouraged
• Experience with 501c3 and 501c4 structures a plus
