Job Title: Coordinator, College Supports Program

General Summary:

Responsible for all aspects of the College Supports Program (CSP) at Eastern Michigan University in collaboration with program faculty and various EMU departments such as the Admissions, Advising, Disability Resource Center, and Residence Life. Provide ongoing leadership, organization, coordination, promotion, and outreach efforts related to program requirements. In collaboration with the CSP faculty liaison, responsible for coordinating all aspects of the students' academic and social experience at Eastern Michigan University.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide oversight of all program components including: Recruitment and application process; Individual student contracts and support plans; Academic program selection; Advising; Enrollment; Academic supports; Social coaching; Transition to work; Budget; Employee supervision; Collaboration across University departments and the larger community; Collaboration with mental health and education professionals in the community; Crisis response.

Ensure program model fidelity including family support, and student successful matriculation and post education success.

Hire, train, and supervise student employees, interns, graduate assistants, and staff through program and staff meetings and ongoing support.

Responsible for all student applications, family meetings for admission consideration, high school transition meetings, transfer student meetings, college transitional meetings, etc.

Develop and implement individualized contracts and support plans for students' academic and social success in the College Supports Program.

Oversee of CSP budget; review and approve expenditures for equipment, supplies, and materials necessary to implement program and services.

Assist with the development of long- and short-term goals and objectives that align with the College and University strategic plans.

Initiate and coordinate the development and delivery of training programs for academic and support units (Writing Center employees, Residential Advisors, Success Coaches, etc.) across the University.

Serve as liaison between CSP students and their academic department, their faculty, the Disability Resource Center, and participate on various university teams that address students with ASD and their academic and social success, including student crisis.

Collaboration with state vocational rehabilitation offices, and development of all mandated written reports and outcome evaluation

Develop, review, and expand purposeful learning opportunities including field experiences (internships, practicum, co-op activities for CSP students as preparation for employment after graduation).

Participate with the Dean and Associate Dean of the College of Health and Human Services to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the College Supports Program through program evaluation and dissemination.

Collaborations, not limited to, the Office of Student Well Being, Housing and Residence Life, Snow Health Center, CAPS, Holman Success Center, University Advising and Career Development, EDGE, Honors College, and Office of Student Life.

Seek funding in partnership with the EMU Foundation and ORD office.

Program marketing, including nationwide program presentations, meeting with private education consultants, website development, and social media presence.

Perform department related duties as required.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Masters of ASD and experience working with college students with autism is required. Additional certifications such as a Masters degree in Social Work or Psychology is preferred.

Two years experience administering direct support programs to adults with ASD is required.

Demonstrated ability to meet programmatic goals and objectives is required.

Proficiency in analyzing and planning for successful programming for students with ASD is required.

Strong team and relationship building skills is required.

Outstanding oral and written communication and conflict resolution skills are required.

Experience in working in a higher education environment is strongly preferred.
