COG specializes in data-driven digital organizing, relational organizing, door-to-door canvassing programs, signature collection, and public affairs. We help campaigns reach scale while having the quality conversations needed to change people's lives.

General Description

The stakes have never been higher for health care, abortion access, reproductive rights, and our democracy ó and the opportunity has never been greater. Voters want elected officials who will stand up for their rights, their health care, and their safety. In 2020, Planned Parenthood advocacy and political organizations are uniquely positioned to engage and mobilize these voters.

We have built an electoral program to meet the moment and the stakes at hand. Planned Parenthood advocacy and political organizations launched its largest-ever electoral effort for the 2020 cycle, making strategic investments to take back the Senate, the White House, state legislatures, and defeat harmful ballot measures across the country.

Community Outreach Group is seeking an enthusiastic Campaign Manager to serve as a part of Planned Parenthoodís Coordinated campaign. The Campaign Manager will manage one organizer, work with client organizations to supporters in organizing programs, build and strengthen local leadership, and support the long-term goals of Planned Parenthood.

The Campaign Manager will work with the Organizer to recruit Planned Parenthood Action Fund Members and recruit those members to federally endorsed candidate events. The Campaign Manager will be assigned goals for the team and will be responsible for supporting their team to reach those goals. Work with coalition partners and key stakeholders to develop and execute a cooperative campaign strategy
Recruit Planned Parenthood Action Fund Members and recruit those Members to candidate events using virtual organizing tactics such as phone banking, Hustle, and Outvote
Own the process of recruitment, hiring, and training of one organizer
Supervise organizer by setting clear goals, developing work plans, acting as a coach and mentor to ensure employee development, and conducting regular check-ins and offering feedback
Work with leadership to break overall goals down into smaller goals, develop timelines and work plans, and produce reports to tell the story of your teamís progress
Develop relationships with key political players, opinion leaders, allied organizations, and coalitions to build the base of support within the region.
Ensure client and organizational satisfaction and completion of all program goals and obligations


Applicants for this position should bring the following knowledge, abilities, and attitude:

Expertise in developing and leading coordinated campaigns
Expertise setting goals and deadlines for other people, and coaching them to meet those goals or deadlines
Experience administering human resources and payroll
Experience training organizers
Strong data analysis skills, and the ability to read a report and take action
Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders, communicate clearly and often, and manage diverse personalities and expectations
Strong interpersonal skills, including comfort meeting and talking with new people
Maintain a positive, can do, and solutions-oriented attitude in tough situations
Flexible and self-motivated to identify priorities and complete work
Knowledge of and commitment to progressive causes and progressive management practices
Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend

There is no formal education requirement for this position.

This is a full-time, exempt, entry-level position with the Community Outreach Group, with an annual base salary of $60,000 ($28.85/hour, salaried). Full-time exempt employees are also eligible for a cell phone reimbursement up to $75/month, and employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance. This is a short-term position with an expected end date of November 10, 2020.
