Apple Maps is seeking an experienced Business Operations professional to join the team. Do you have an expertise in both long-term strategic planning and short-term tactical planning, and will have a proven track record of working cross-functionally to align partners, operational objectives, and defined deliverables? The ideal person is operations-focused, results-driven and has an understanding of spatial data, concepts and theory. Collaboration in a high-paced environment is imperative. We are looking for an individual to join our team who will:

- Be passionate about asking and answering questions about operations, execution, deliverables, planning, and forecasting

- Be accountable for schedule commitments and feasibility assessments

- Creatively design operational scenarios and clearly articulate trade-offs

- Manage and maintain various planning models and use them to drive business decisions

- Understand Apple teams’ objectives and propose appropriate operational support scenarios

- Work with global operations teams to track vendor-specific metrics, in order to analyze and provide visibility into performance and deliverables

- Work with various business functions throughout the organization, including Finance, Legal, Procurement, etc.

- Facilitate the contractor lifecycle (e.g., manager needs, contractor profiles, sourcing, on-boarding, off-boarding, extending, backfilling)

- Work diligently to ensure contractors are set up and enabled to expertly complete work for Apple

- Navigate Apple’s internal tools for leading contractors and vendors, and be able to provide insights into current contractor data and forecast vendor work and contractor lifecycle needs

- Recognize and act on opportunities for automation, integration and standardization of processes
Key Qualifications:
•5+ years of experience in operations and planning
•High attention to detail, collaboration orientated, and able to execute under tight deadlines and consistently changing requirements
•Expertise in developing complex planning models, defining operational scenarios, and crafting projection and forecasting models to inform program timelines and deliverable commitments
•Experience with external vendor management within the Operations team
•Vendor monitoring and risk assessment
•Expertise in scoping new project work
•Experience with project maturity frameworks: from proof-of-concept to scaled production
•Management of external resources and staff augmentation model
•Experience leading a team
•Ability to cross-functionally oversee dependencies and contingencies
•Detail-oriented with talent for tracking work across multiple programs and various global teams
•Experience in reporting, data visualization, and ad hoc data analysis; ability to compile and validate large amounts of data with a high degree of accuracy
•Ability to recommend responses, propose solutions, and identify continuous improvement actions to data and production issues

- B.S or higher in relevant field; MBA preferred

- Optimization certifications (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Agile) preferred

- Experience with mapping, GIS, or geospatial data a plus
