Part of the Production Services team, within the Conference, Event & Video Services department. Performs in a hybrid role by providing both broadcast engineering and production technician services. Works on high-production-value communications meetings, speaker series, trainings and other events at Apple’s campus venues. Provides excellent customer service and has a “can do” attitude.

Description:
Responsible for ensuring AV equipment is operational, properly maintained and organized. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: control room systems and equipment such as video switchers, robotic cameras, audio and lighting consoles; projectors; screens; Crestron controls; routers and patch bays; assistive listening devices, crew communication systems and headsets.
Assists with equipment specifications and manages upgrade projects.
Possesses effective vendor management, project management and follow-through ability.
Works to reduce downtime when equipment fails by quickly identifying problems and implementing solutions.
Performs in operator roles such as technical director, camera operator, audio engineer or other roles, depending on the needs of the event.
Acts as a great team player, remains open to performing in a variety of crew roles and learns new skills.
Interfaces with customers to manage their presentation content (could include loading Keynote presentations, QuickTime content, etc.).
Puts customers’ needs first and does what it takes to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintains a helpful, supportive demeanor and develops good relationships.
Adheres to Apple’s high production standards and codes of ethical conduct. Works well under pressure and maintains self-composure and integrity. Exercises good judgement.
Remains flexible and prepared for changes to the schedule, including working early mornings, evenings or weekends.
Quickly responds to emails, texts and phone calls in order to provide a high standard of service to customers and colleagues.
Remains current with technological developments in the video, presentation and broadcast fields by attending conferences like NAB and InfoComm annually.
Skills:  
Key Qualifications:
•8 + years’ experience as a broadcast engineer in a live broadcast environment, such as a television studio, stadium or remote truck.
•Well-rounded production technician experience is required, including significant experience as a technical director, camera operator, projectionist, lighting technician or audio engineer.
•Must be proficient in identifying and resolving operational errors. Requires deep experience with signal routing and monitoring.
•Candidate should also be familiar with workflows required to connect AV systems to broadcast trucks.
•Works collaboratively and enjoys helping others.
•Communicates with respect, tact and professionalism at all times.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution with field experience or an equivalent combination of education and field experience.
