Part of the Production Services team, within the Conference, Event & Video Services department. The ideal candidate has broad audio engineering skills to service a variety of high-production-value communications meetings, speaker series, trainings and other events at Apple’s campus venues. Provides excellent customer service and has a “can do” attitude.

Description:
Sets up microphones, configures audio consoles, performs multi-source sound mixing for live, recorded and streamed events.
Responsible for ensuring audio equipment is operational, properly maintained and organized. Performs basic repairs, routine maintenance and firmware upgrades.
Possesses effective vendor management, project management and follow through ability.
Assists with specification of audio systems and equipment.
Possesses excellent communication and customer service skills to consult with presenters and colleagues. Analyzes the production needs of customers and finds the best match of technology and services for each event.
Interfaces with customers to manage their presentation content; this could include loading Keynote presentations, QuickTime content, etc.
Acts as a great team player, remains open to performing in a variety of crew roles and learns new skills.
Adheres to Apple’s high production standards and codes of ethical conduct. Works well under pressure and maintains self-composure and integrity. Exercises good judgement.
Remains flexible and prepared for changes to the schedule, including working early mornings, evenings or weekends.
Quickly responds to emails, texts and phone calls in order to provide a high standard of service to customers and colleagues.
Remains current with technological developments in the audio, presentation and broadcast fields by attending conferences like NAB and InfoComm annually.
Skills:  
Key Qualifications:
•8 + years’ experience as an audio engineer in a live broadcast environment such as a television studio, stadium or remote truck.
•Candidate must possess a thorough understanding of various microphone and audio processor types, and their performance characteristics.
•Ability to use, understand, configure and patch large-format, digital audio mixing consoles is required. Knowledge of SSL mixing consoles, as well as Dante and MADI is a plus.
•Ability to mix for both room sound and live-transmission feeds is required. Experience with Meyer Sound Constellation is a plus.
•Must be proficient in identifying and resolving operational errors.
•Works collaboratively and enjoys helping others.
•Communicates with respect, tact and professionalism at all times.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution with field experience or an equivalent combination of education and field experience.
