| Pathfinder Development was founded in 2005 by Chirag Patel and Rahul Bahl with the development of a new Hampton Inn in Victoria, TX. Rahul and Chirag were High School friends who both possessed a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a common belief that many large companies seem to lose sight of core values such as compassion, flexibility, human connection and a sincere commitment to customer satisfaction. Both felt that excessive bureaucracy and focus on short term profits at the expense of sound long term strategy and sometimes at the expense of “doing right” by customers and employees were drivers of this flawed large company culture. Rahul and Chirag sought to build a small to midsized hospitality Development and Management firm with a family like atmosphere which emphasized the importance of adhering to these core values and was committed to a pursuit of excellence in the select service/extended stay segments. Today, the company owns and/or manages 8 hotels in Texas and plans to continue to seek out opportunities for strategic growth. |
